South Dakota Farmers Union Day at the South Dakota State Fair

SDFU hosts a Farmer Share lunch where we inform our consumers on the true price South Dakota family farmers and ranchers receive for their product. Fairgoers pay what our producers receive. During the 2024 Farmers Share lunch, folks spent 48 cents for a $15 meal.
Through our interactive Farm Safety Trailer and Farm Safety Quiz Bowl, SDFU provides hands-on farm safety training to more than 3000 youth.
During Farmers Union Day at the State Fair, SDFU also hosts a variety of educational panel discussions related to agriculture policy.
